The Legacy Begins

Our journey began in 1955, under our family name Edakulam Decorations Kavalam (EDK), during a time when event infrastructure was created entirely by hand.

We relied on natural and locally sourced materials such as teak pillars, kavung, choola, and ola. What started as small decorative and tent works soon grew into a respected and trusted name across the region.

Historic Milestones

During those early decades, we handled a wide range of major traditional and public works:

◆ Pavilion seating, platforms, and tents for the famous Nehru Trophy Boat Race.
◆ Stage works for iconic performances like "Kadamuttathu Kathanar" and "Kalliyankatu Neeli" by Kalanilayam.
◆ Extensive Edathua Church Thirunal works including temporary bridges, towers, and decorations.
◆ Unique hospitality projects at R-Block Kayal, building structures 6 feet below sea level inside backwaters.

Evolution & Innovation

As time evolved, so did we. Every historic project reflected our commitment to strength, safety, and beautiful craftsmanship—even with the limited materials available at the time.

From traditional wooden structures, we transitioned into iron framework constructions. Today we use modern aluminium structures, modular systems, and plywood platform flooring, allowing faster installation, better durability, and more elegant designs.
